Faith No More - Edge of the World

Dentro de un disco completamente sorprendente como el The Real Thing, este tema final es ya el auténtico desfase, demostrando que la banda hacía lo que les daba la gana, como les daba la gana y porque les daba la gana. En definitiva, una joya con mayúsculas.

Este tema es para mí, junto a 'Leave Your Hat On', la cumbre de la música de striptease. Sencillamente perfecta, tan sencilla como cadenciosa. Y la letra... bueno, mejor quien quiera que la lea :P



PD: ¿Se puede decir 'pedo' y 'culo', señor moderador? Vale. Al principio del tema Patton (el cantante) ve que se va a tirar un pedo, dice '¿qué es esto?', se lleva el micro al culo, suena por toda la megafonía de la sala el pedo, se lleva el micro a la nariz, huele y dice 'está bien'. Ese es Mike Patton en todo su gamberrismo XD

Tengo por algún sitio grabado este disco que me pasó alguien hace ya bastantes años. Está lleno de temas curiosos, pero entre los que destaca (a mi parecer) esta versión del tema de los Soundgarden. El vídeo ni lo miréis, porque es un montaje sin sentido de la serie-bazofia Supernatural.



Nota: no soy en absoluto fan de Soundgarden. De hecho en general detesto el grunge (muerte lenta y dolorosa a Pearl Jam, y sobre todo a su cantante :P).

Loreena McKennitt - Mummer's Dance

Iba a poner algo más bailongo, de pista, pero me he dicho '¿porqué no meterles otra canción larga para que se quejen?' XD Fui a por el video del The Highwayman pero encontrándome con esta otra canción, en directo (lo que lo hace más interesante), más rápida y más corta, me dije: ale, se han librado por hoy de su ración de temas laaaaaaaargos XDDDD

Aquí os va Loreena McKennitt y su Mummer's Dance, del magnífico Book of Secrets, disco que adoro.



Quien le guste esta versión en directo puede disfrutar con la de estudio, con una producción y sonido mucho mejores, en las diversas versiones de youtube, como ésta.

Ahora, quien yo me sé, mentará a los Dead Can Dance, seguro :P Pues que lo haga y que meta un video de ellos, que yo encantado. ¿Rakim?
